Essential Job Functions:
- Directs the day-to-day clinical operations of the clinic site including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage; leading organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meetings; continuously evaluating the status of clients; and planning and coordinating treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to clients changing needs.
- Participates in the development and administration of the program budget.
- Monitors payer source and utilization of benefits usage.
- Monitors performance measures (satisfaction, efficiency, and effectiveness).
- Conduct drills, audits, occurrence report summaries, and peer reviews.
- Ensures staff obtain their required trainings.
- Represents SMA at community meetings and fairs.
- Proactively responds to client concerns.
- Regularly reviews client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes written by the staff; and supervises individual staff for medical records accuracy.
- Develops and maintains program policies and procedures and revises collaboratively with supervisor.
- Initiates and maintains relationships in coordination with other staff, with law enforcement and other human services agencies, and with informal community resources (e.g., landlords, employers).

Minimum Education and/or Experience: Current State of Florida Registered Nurse required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, with a major in a Nursing preferred but not required. A minimum of three years of full time professional experience in a healthcare services supervisory role.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge with regulatory, licensure, and credentialing bodies to include but not limited to, Medicaid, Medicare, CARF, AHCA, HRSA, etc.
- Experience with healthcare delivery in primary care, mental health and/or substance abuse preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
- Ability to supervise and guide the work of others in making complex clinical treatment decisions.
- Ability to train, advise and assist staff in clinical/mental health decisions specific to the age and disability of the persons served.
- Ability to quickly assess situations and use sound judgment in defusing potentially risky situations.
- Ability to identify services required by persons specific to their age and disability.
- Ability to review client case files and treatment plans and make proper recommendations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, medical and clinical professionals, and the general public.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with other employees, program staff, persons receiving services, outside organizations, and others.
Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal automobile insurance if required to drive an SMA vehicle and/or use a personal vehicle for SMA business. Complete State of Florida mandatory background screening prior to start of employment. Complete SMA required training during the first six (6) months of employment and updated if required.
Physical:
Mobility and ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day. Able to lift minimum 10 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, intervene, treat, and record client health care needs. Fine motor skills for legible and accurate charting, daily correspondence and presentation, either manually or orally. Work endurance ability to work 8-12 hour shifts with a meal break, as possible. Routine 8-12 hour shifts. Hours and days off may vary. Extra hours may be required. Work assignment locations may vary.
